Operations, Membership and Communications

Helen Sherrard, Director of Operations

Helen is responsible for overseeing and managing the CHFA office, general operations, and revenue generating activities in Membership and Communications.

Peter Manu, Manager of Accounting

Peter is responsible for the functioning of our finance department.

Boris Sherb, Accounting Assistant

Boris assists Peter in the finance department.

Terry Johnson, Executive Assistant

Terry provides executive-level administrative support to the President, and he also keeps the CHFA office humming as Office Manager.

Marina Bodine, Receptionist

Marina is the first friendly contact to the CHFA. She receives and greets visitors to our office and assists callers with their enquiries in both official languages. Marina also serves as part of the broader office management team, coordinating a variety of complex and specialized administrative projects.

Natalie Cajic, Communications Specialist

Natalie is the hands-on editor for a variety of CHFA publications, including the website, e-mailings, newsletters and other print publications, and a key information resource for members. She's also the association's go-to person for media relations.

Simmer Principio, Administrator, Membership and Communications
Ext. 227, sprincipio@chfa.ca
Simmer plays a hands-on role for member enquiries and assists members and prospective members with renewals, education and benefits. She also coordinates the distribution of member mailings and helps grow and retain membership.

Regulatory Affairs & Policy Development, Organic Promotion

Carl Carter, Director of Regulatory Affairs & Policy Development

Carl leads and oversees the Regulatory Affairs & Policy Development department to ensure a fair and appropriate regulatory environment in which CHFA members can operate their businesses.

Betsy Hui, Regulatory Affairs Officer

Betsy responds to membership enquiries on regulatory issues, develops background research and helps to position statements on scientific issues of interest to members.

Tomás Nimmo, Organic Promotion Coordinator

Tomás recommends and develops internal and external organic promotional activities in an effort to publicize the work of the CHFA and its members.

Trade Show

Judy Sharpe, Director, Trade Shows and Conferences

Judy oversees the strategy, marketing and budget responsibilities for the association's trade shows. With the help of the show team, she is always looking for ways to improve the events, grow the conference and deliver more value to retailer and supplier members.

Ahmed Mutaher, Trade Show Manager
Ext. 228, ahmed@chfa.ca
Ahmed focuses on the needs of our exhibitors. He oversees show logistics including booth placement, show signage and all other exhibitor support.

Shelly Dagenais, Events Coordinator
Ext. 232, sdagenais@chfa.ca
Shelly focuses on sponsorship administration and conference logistics, including speaker research, food and beverage details, room set-up and audiovisual requirements.
