Ensuring a fair and reasonable regulatory environment
CHFA's Regulatory Affairs and Policy Development Department monitors the provincial, national and international regulatory landscape for new regulatory initiatives that would affect the natural and organic industry.
In support of our members, our Team
- Develops background research papers on issues of concern to our members,
- Writes position statements on scientific issues,
- Creates interpretative circulars to inform our member of policy and guidance documents,
- Lobbies for regulatory change; and,
- Responds to members’ enquiries on regulatory issues.
The department notifies members of these initiatives via our website and member bulletins.
